According
to the excerpt dated 3 March, 2013 from
New Straits Times, ‘ Prisoners to get varsity-level courses’ i can conclude
that prisoner also need education because they need another new chance to
build their new life. Even though they are prisoner they also a normal human
being. They also want to have better life together with their family. From my
point of view, i can see that the Prisons Department initiatives to enhance the
skills and educational level of prisoner to increase their competency after
serving their sentence is good for them. Nowadays, prisoner are not welcome to
be a part of educational field such as in University and so on. This perhaps
will bring them to return to their past activities that against the Malaysian
rules. The scholarship offered is also good because sometimes commonly the prisoner comes from poor family background In addition, they might commit crime just because to earn money to further their study because they did not
afford to pay for the fees, their study life cost, books and many more. We
should think positively about their wants to have education and give them
chance to have new better life. The excerpts also writes that, since July last year, 1764 prisoners had had received certificates in skill training and 703 obtain certificates for other
achievement. This show they are really eager to have education to have better
life and clearly shows the positive impact on both prisoners and country. It
also help the government to build peace country because the had build the prisoners moral by giving them chances to have education and change their
life. In a nutshell i can conclude that, we as a Malaysian, need to support
any positive effort from our government.

Hollywood movies
Hollywood produce great movies. It is proven that Hollywood really great at producing movies. They have action movies that involve high quality of graphic such as Transformer and etc. This quality had grab the audience attention and bring them to be view by people from all walks of life.Their movies are very interesting because involve lots of elements in a movie such as violence, love, action an so on, but they don’t always tell the truth even it based on ‘true stories’ . They had reaching their target such as been the box office movies all around the globe . They also win lots of awards such as Oscar Award an etc. The great movies from Hollywood such as ‘ Argo’ , the the true new movie from actor-director Ben Affleck, has mostly been getting raves.Including a qualified but fairly strong endorsement from Slate's own Dana Stevens, who calls it “a rollicking yarn” and “easily the most cohesive and technically accomplished of Affleck’s three films so far.” But several reviews have also noted just how far the movie departs in certain respects from the historical record. This means the story is not really follow the historical records. In the movie’s dramatic climax, Stevens writes, the “broadly accurate retelling of real events” gives way to “some fairly whopping dramatic license.” the movie pokes so much fun at but the truth story is not. Argo is too good to be truth. The story is very fluent and the movie plot is like have been arrange clearly. So just how accurate is Argo?

STEREOTYPING
Wikipedia shows that a stereotype is a
thought that may be adopted about specific types of individuals or certain
ways of doing things, but
that belief may or may not accurately reflect reality . However,
this is only a fundamental psychological definition of a stereotype. Within and across different psychology
disciplines, there are different concepts and theories of stereotyping that
provide their own expanded definition. Some of these definitions share
commonalities, though each one may also harbor unique aspects that may
complement or contradict the others Stereotyping is exaggerated
generalization associated with a categorizing system, they go beyond the facts at
hand and make claim that usually have no valid basis. It is sometimes
difficult to avoid from doing. To understand different examples of stereotypes,
you should first define what a stereotype is. Any time you grouping races or
individuals together and make a judgment about them without knowing them, this
is an example of a stereotype. Racial remarks, sexual remarks, and gender
remarks are the biggest stereotypes. There are also some
common stereotypes of men and women. For instance men are strong and do all the
work, men are the “backbone.”, women aren't as smart as a man, and girls are not
good at sports. From my point of view, sometimes
stereotyping is not needed in our life. We cannot just simply organizing
scheme to classify people because sometimes people are not like what we was
thinking about them. It is true that most people find difficult to to
avoid it. Here are some ways to avoid the stereotyping. The first one is Make a list
of the specific stereotypes that you wish to avoid. Start
with the stereotypes that you dislike the most, and work towards counteracting.
As time goes on, work your way down the list. The second one is, Don't
stereotype yourself, period. Don't expect people not to label you if you label
yourself. Don't try to fit in any kind of stereotype, for example, don't
categorize your style as "emo", "preppy",
"gangsta" or "punk".Then Don't stereotype others. If you
call somebody "an annoying prep", that person will most likely call
you back "a weird emo" or something. Be tolerant and don't judge
people for how they dress or who they hang out with.
HOUSEHUSBAND
Across the land, more and more men are
giving up work to become full-time fathers, putting their children's welfare
before their professional ambitions, and resisting the trend for selfish
career-driven nurturing recently criticized by The Good Childhood Inquiry. Some
are doing it through economic necessity, others as a positive lifestyle choice.
And as the recession starts to really bite, numbers look set to upsurge further
as thousands of jobless men find themselves forsook at home, reliant on their
wives' earning power. Today, fathers are often closer to their offspring than
ever before, but equally there are thousands of children growing up without any
contact with a loving male. For many fathers who step off the career ladder,
the real challenge is not the childcare itself but the isolation.
Responsibility of taking a good care of children is not easy for man. In my
opinion, house husband is not common to be practice. It should be housewife,
not house husband. The husband should be the breadwinner of the family. A wife
can do all house chores properly but not the husband because women are created
with that specialty. Not every man can do women’s job such as changing a nappy,
reading a story to their children, preparing meals and other housework.
Sometimes, husband cannot do housework as well as their wife. Plus, children
really need to spend most of their time with their mother because mother the
one who really understand what their children needs because they their
favorable circumstance that is the sense and instinct as a mother. As women,
they are gifted to shape their family by being a good housewife rather than a
househusband.
MY EXPECTATION AND HOPES FOR CRITICAL LITERACY SUBJECT
According to Wikipedia, Critical Literacy
is an instructional approach, stemming from Marxist Critical pedagogy that
advocates the adoption of "critical" perspectives toward text.
Critical literacy encourages readers to actively analyze texts and offers strategies
for what proponents describe as uncovering underlying messages. First time the
word Critical Literacy cross my mind, I’m started to think that it will be very
critical. I will go through lots of bombastic words and articles that I need to
analyze and deal with many difficulties.I love playing with words but it is
challenging. My expectation is that Critical Literacy will be very interesting
to deal with. It sounds good and class. I feel eager and exited to know further
about Critical Literacy.I heard negative comments and grievance from my seniors
about Critical Literacy. They said that I have to analyze lots of article and
also movie. They also claim that it is difficult to score for this subject. My
perception becomes worst about it. I believe that I need to struggle to get the
best result for this subject. After I've started to study this subject, my
perception was change. The Critical Literacy is not that difficult. Yes, it is
true I have to deal with lots of words that bring me some difficulties. The
whole truth is, I've given clear guides from my lecturer about this subject. I
hope there will no more difficulties for me in order to finish studying this
subject until the end of the chapter provided and I can have a good result.
